- Define the goal.
- Break the goal down into actions you need to achieve that goal.
- Define the knowledge you need to have in order to take the action and achieve that goal.
- Once you know what knowledge you need to know, then find a company that is taking the action and achieving the goal really well.
- Find who within that company is taking that action.
- What is that person’s belief system and philosophy. What do they read/watch/follow?
- Find how they acquired that knowledge (ie. books / other people)
Don’t just copy ideas/answers. Borrow the things that work and add your own twist.
Don’t just jump straight into action. Understand the theory behind the thing you’re trying to learn.
This reveals why you’re doing what you’re doing. And, it removes the mindless action of going in circles.
In the modern age, there are endless things to learn. It’s not about learning, but learning how to learn. And learning what to learn.
The “what” and “how” are the most important elements.
Happy learning.
